Research a Florida address through local records
Find the right county and city sources without treating a regional guide as a property report.

Start at the county level
Use the Florida Department of Revenue directory to find the county property appraiser and tax collector. Confirm the parcel and the jurisdictions shown in the official record. Keep a link to the record with the date you checked it.
Find the office that owns the question
For permits, ask the responsible city or county building department. For utilities, ask the actual service provider. For storm planning, use local emergency management. A single address can involve several authorities, so write down who supplied each answer.
Compare everyday needs objectively
Check commute routes, public transport, service availability and other needs important to you using official information and your own visit. Verify school assignment with the school district for the specific address. Avoid treating broad neighborhood rankings or demographic descriptions as a substitute for your priorities.
